Dual-Frequency Dog Microchip Reading
The JIA-90A reads 125 kHz EMID and 134.2 kHz FDX-B animal transponders, including ISO 11784/11785-compliant identification chips.
Typische Lesedistanzen sind:
- Electronic ear tags: up to approximately 8 cm
- Glass microchips: approximately 3–5 cm
Die tatsächliche Leistung hängt von Tag-Größe, Orientierung, Implantationsposition und der Umgebung ab.

Bluetooth und Datenverarbeitung
The JIA-90A supports both real-time data entry and offline ID collection.
Mit Bluetooth 5.0 können gescannte IDs an die aktive Cursorposition auf einem kompatiblen Telefon, Tablet oder Computer mittels Tastaturausgabe gesendet werden.
When a connected device is not available, the reader can store up to 1,000 IDs internally and transfer them later through the USB Type-C connection.
This supports two practical workflows:
- scan and transfer dog microchip IDs in real time through Bluetooth;
- collect IDs during fieldwork and export them later.
Dog Identification Applications
The JIA-90A can be used for:
- Tierkliniken – scan implanted dog microchips during registration, examination, or treatment.
- Tierschutzheime und Rettungsorganisationen – check incoming dogs for compatible electronic identification.
- Dog breeders and kennels – record individual microchip IDs for breeding and ownership records.
- Tierschutz – identify chipped dogs during field work.
- Dog registration – rufen die Mikrochipnummer ab, die für die Registrierung oder Bescheinigung benötigt wird.
- Travel identification – verify a dog’s microchip number when identification is required for travel documentation.
The reader retrieves the microchip ID number. Owner, medical, and registration information is normally stored in a separate database or management system.
Dog Microchip Reader FAQs
How far can the JIA-90A read an implanted dog microchip?
The typical reading distance is approximately 3–5 cm for compatible glass microchips.
Actual performance depends on chip size, implantation depth, orientation, reader position, and scanning conditions.
Wie funktioniert der Bluetooth-Datentransfer?
Im Bluetooth-Tastaturmodus kann die gescannte ID direkt zur aktiven Cursorposition auf einem kompatiblen Telefon, Tablet oder Computer gesendet werden.
Can scanned dog microchip IDs be stored?
Yes. The JIA-90A can store up to 1,000 IDs internally for later transfer through the USB Type-C connection.
Does the reader show the dog’s owner information?
No. It retrieves the electronic microchip number. Owner and registration details must be checked in the relevant external database or management system.
