Dual-Frequency Dog Microchip Reading
The JIA-90A reads 125 kHz EMID and 134.2 kHz FDX-B animal transponders, including ISO 11784/11785-compliant identification chips.
Le distanze di lettura tipiche sono:
- Electronic ear tags: up to approximately 8 cm
- Glass microchips: approximately 3–5 cm
Le prestazioni effettive dipendono dalle dimensioni del tag, dall'orientamento, dalla posizione di impianto e dall'ambiente circostante.

Bluetooth e gestione dei dati
The JIA-90A supports both real-time data entry and offline ID collection.
Con Bluetooth 5.0, gli ID scansionati possono essere inviati alla posizione del cursore attivo su un telefono, tablet o computer compatibile utilizzando un output di tipo tastiera.
When a connected device is not available, the reader can store up to 1,000 IDs internally and transfer them later through the USB Type-C connection.
This supports two practical workflows:
- scan and transfer dog microchip IDs in real time through Bluetooth;
- collect IDs during fieldwork and export them later.
Dog Identification Applications
The JIA-90A can be used for:
- Cliniche veterinarie – scan implanted dog microchips during registration, examination, or treatment.
- Rifugi e salvataggi per animali – check incoming dogs for compatible electronic identification.
- Dog breeders and kennels – record individual microchip IDs for breeding and ownership records.
- Controllo degli animali – identify chipped dogs during field work.
- Dog registration – recupero del numero del microchip richiesto per la registrazione o la verifica del registro.
- Travel identification – verify a dog’s microchip number when identification is required for travel documentation.
The reader retrieves the microchip ID number. Owner, medical, and registration information is normally stored in a separate database or management system.
Dog Microchip Reader FAQs
How far can the JIA-90A read an implanted dog microchip?
The typical reading distance is approximately 3–5 cm for compatible glass microchips.
Actual performance depends on chip size, implantation depth, orientation, reader position, and scanning conditions.
Come funziona il trasferimento dati Bluetooth?
In modalità tastiera Bluetooth, l'ID scansionato può essere inviato direttamente alla posizione del cursore attivo su un telefono, tablet o computer compatibile.
Can scanned dog microchip IDs be stored?
Yes. The JIA-90A can store up to 1,000 IDs internally for later transfer through the USB Type-C connection.
Does the reader show the dog’s owner information?
No. It retrieves the electronic microchip number. Owner and registration details must be checked in the relevant external database or management system.
