Multi-Protocol Animal Chip Reading
The JIA-90B combines two low-frequency bands with three commonly used animal identification protocols:
- 125 kHz EMID
- 2 kHz FDX-B
- 2 kHz HDX
FDX-B and HDX animal identification tags are supported under ISO 11784/11785, allowing the reader to work with different electronic identification systems used for pets and livestock.
With compatible tags, typical reading performance is:
- 2–12 mm glass transponders: more than 8 cm
- 30 mm electronic ear tags: more than 20 cm
Actual reading distance depends on the tag type, antenna size, orientation, reader position, and surrounding environment.
